Description
On December 5-6, 2006, PHLS hosted the Public Health Leadership Development Summit, which is part of a year long process of advancing leadership and workforce development within the field of public health. The Summit has been designed by the Summit Planning Committee, which includes representatives from PHLS, CDC, the National Public Health Leadership Development Network (NLN), the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). This Summit served as a forum for a select group of public health stakeholders from academia, the private sector, and the federal, national, state, and local levels to discuss and provide input on the future direction of leadership and workforce development.
