Annual Program

2011 PHLS Annual Program

The  PHLS Annual Program is a 3 hour education breakfast session dedicated to strategic discussions about current and cutting edge public health issues. Held every year at the APHA Annual Meeting, the PHLS Annual Program is the annual meeting for PHLS members and its partners. The Annual Program is planned by the PHLS Education Services Committee. The theme for the 2011 PHLS Annual Program is yet to be determined. If you are interested in being involved in the planning of the Annual Program, please contact An Nguyen at anguyen@nnphi.org.

The Open Government Initiative: Opportunities for Engaging the Public and Developing Policies

The 2010 PHLS Annual Program was dedicated to a strategic discussion about the Open Government  Initiative and Community Health Data Initiative. During the session 35 public health leaders from across the nation gathered to engage in discussion to identify the implication of the Open Government Initiative for fostering public health innovations and how to engage the public in developing policies that promote health.
