Educational Services
2011 Chair: Maureen Lichtveld

The Educational Services committee is responsible for outlining the slate of educational services provided for PHLS subscribers. Three to four teleconferences are broadcast each year. The PHLS Leadership Series is an annual webinar series focused on cutting edge public health issues. Presentations and transcripts and resource guides of previous leadership series calls can be found here.

Membership
The newly-formed membership committee is examining the slate of offerings to PHLS members and is exploring opportunities to expand and improve membership services.

Public Health Code of Ethics
Co-Chairs: Ruth Gaare Bernheim & Alan Melnick

The Code of Ethics was developed with the combined efforts of the NPHLI class of 2000 and the PHLS ethics work group – now a formal committee of PHLS. The code was officially adopted by APHA on February 26th, 2002 and has appeared in a number of journal articles. The ethics work group is in the process of promoting the code to various public health entities so that it can be adopted universally. Click here to view the Code of Ethics.
